Health Behaviour Change

The choices we make in our daily lives from what we eat, how we travel and how much activity we do, are all examples of our health behaviour choices. Some of these choices and our actions are influenced by things out with our control, such as the availability of fresh food in our local shop or the affordability of exercise classes.

There are some choices that are in our own hands to change – these are our individual health behaviours, and changing these can play an important role in improving our health long term. Having the support to identify and make changes to our individual health behaviours can make a difference in our long term health.

Our team are trained in supporting health behaviour change, this includes having conversations to help individuals to identify what health behaviours they are interested in changing or have concerns about. The team can support and provide advice and information on how best to achieve behaviour changes.
