Money Worries Training

Worrying about money can have a big impact on people’s health. The rising cost of living has brought uncertainty or change for many people. People don’t always reach out for support so we can help by routinely raising the issue and breaking the stigma.

The Money Worries sessions are designed as a brief, informal training session to help staff build confidence to ask about money worries, and where and how to refer and signpost people for support and to help them maximise their income.  By knowing the services that can help, and being willing to start a conversation about money, you could make a huge difference to someone’s life.

The aim of the course is to:

  1. Increase understanding of poverty and its impact
  2. Increased confidence to ask about money worries
  3. Increase knowledge of support services for money matters
