Lerwick & Gulberwick
The main sports hub of the whole of Shetland is located in Lerwick, the capital, where a number of facilities allow for sports and activies to be done that can not be done elsewhere. The Clickimin Sports Centre holds the biggest versatile space in Shetland, which caters for sports however big or small as well as events, concerts and much more! The swimming pool at Clickimin consists of a 25m pool, river rapids, flume rides, a bubble pool, an outdoor lagoon as well as a health suite and hydrotherapy pool. The main hall can be divided into 4 courts, however as much of the hall is available to hire as you wish! There are 2 gyms; Apex and Aspire, a multi-use studio where classes are held thoughout the day and a bowls hall. Outside is located Shetland's only 60:40 indoor dome and an athletics track. As you can imagine, all these facilities allow for a number of sports and clubs to happen, information of which can be found on their facebook page or website! Outwith Clickimin there are a number of other sports clubs, some of which include;

North Mainland Leisure Centre is in Brae and offers a swimming pool, steam room, squash court and a gym which runs numerous classes each month. There is also an astro turf pitch which is avilable to hire through the leisure centre and is popular with the local Hockey League and Six-a-side football. New to Brae is the annual Come to Brae Days which is a weekend full of fun activities for you and the family to try, it's not to be missed!

There is also a games hall available to hire for a variety of activities and can be hired through Shetland Islands Council.
The Scalloway Pool is located next to the local school and consists of a four lane swimming pool. They run a variety of swimming activities and lessons suitable for all ages and ablities, more of which you can find out on their website. There is also a games hall nearby which is available to hire through the Shetland Islands Council - call 01595 744006 to make a booking. Scalloway has a great community with lots of activites running throughout the year, a particular highlight being the Scalloway Gala which runs every July. Local sports clubs include:

The South Mainland Pool can be found next to Sandwick Junior High School and has a great variety of facilities to offer, including a four lane swimming pool, jacuzzi, toddler pool and a steam room. They have numerous activities and sessions running throughout the year which you can find out more about on their facebook page. There is a games hall available to rent too which can be done so through the Shetland Islands Council. The South Mainland has a buzzing community with so much to offer, with just a few named below:

The West Mainland Leisure Centre is located in Aith, close by to the school and public hall. It consists of a swimming pool with a seperate toddlers pool and spa pool, as well as a fitness suite, squash court and games hall which can be hired for activites such as football, short tennis, hockey, badminton, and netball, to name a few.
The community of Westside, or as well call it in Shetland, "Wastside" has a whole hub of local sports clubs ready for all to come and try. Below are a few, but for more enquiries contact the West Mainland Leisure Centre for more information:

Whalsay Leisure centre is situated just a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal and has both dry and wet facilities and a wide range of activites. There is also an all weather playing field and multi court able to hire. For more information you can visit their website or facebook page.

Unst & Fetlar
The Leisure Centre for residents of Unst & Fetlar can be found at Baltasound, Unst and is the most northenly leisure centre in Britain! It has a swimming pool, gym, games hall, squash court as well as a multi court and full sized grass training pitch for use. Every summer the annual UnstFest happens, with a week full of different activites which appeal to all, from half marathons to learning to knit, Unst has it all. Yell Leisure Centre is located in the heart of Mid Yell and open for all of the public to use. It has a swimming pool, gym, squash court and games hall which is avilable to hire for an activity of your choice. For more information you can visit their website or their facebook page for updates.
