Self-refer for COVID test
Please see 'Helpful Links' for relevant local and national sites, and 'Service Updates' for information from NHS Shetland services.
How do I get a test in Shetland?
To self-refer for testing if you have symptoms please complete this form (this can be done 7 days a week at any time and will be picked up ASAP by the testing team). This is the same form that is available through the self-referral portal on NHS Inform - scroll down the page and click "start guide" in the Access to Testing box.
If you are unable to access the form online, and don't have someone who can help by filling it in for you, you can phone a dedicated phone number to self-refer on 01595 532030 (this is currently only open between 9-12.30 and 2-5pm, Monday to Friday, and 10-12 Saturday and Sunday) - please note the best and quickest way to refer is online, the phone is covered by a small testing team, please only use it if you can't use the online option.
